(ΕΛ) -Είναι η πρώτη φορά που το είδος καταγράφεται στην Ελλάδα. Είναι ενδημικό είδος της ανατολικής και κεντρικής Βόρειας Αμερικής. Η τοποθεσία όπου ανακαλύφθηκαν τα φυτά βρίσκεται κοντά στον συνοριακό σταθμό της Εξοχής (ελληνοβουλγαρικά σύνορα). Έχει αναφερθεί στη Βουλγαρία. Μια πιθανή οδός εισόδου από τη Βουλγαρία θα μπορούσε να είναι μέσω της εισέλευσης Βουλγάρων εργατών γης κατά τη συγκομιδή πατάτας.

(EN) -This is the first time the species has been recorded in Greece. The New England aster is indigenous to eastern and central North America. It is known as the New England daisy or Michaelmas daisy since it blooms during St. Michael’s Day. The location where the plants were discovered is close to the Exochi border station (Greek-Boulgarian borders). It has reportedly been spotted in Bulgaria. A probable method of transit from Bulgaria would involve the annual influx of agricultural laborers to Drama’s rural countryside during the potato harvesting season.
